Cain brought the frst fruits of the crops he grew. Abel brought the frstborn sheep of his fock. The Lord was pleased with Abels ofering. Cain disobeyed and brought his own kind of ofering, so the Lord was not pleased. Cain got so angry at his brother that he killed him. He did not allow the love of God to overcome his hate.
