Dear [name withheld]: I am in receipt of your declaration regarding drug-dealing activity at Ayala Apartments, in which you state that you are (and were) aware of such activity prior to receiving my letter, and that you have been bothered and/or injured by said activity, and that you would like action taken to abate this nuisance. By replying to my letter, you certainly increased the chances of success in my effort to stop said drug dealing and the associated crime now occurring; however, more participation by your fellow tenants and neighboring households is needed to ensure it. Would you be willing to encourage any of those persons to return their declarations, as well? To-date, I received responses from just two personsincluding youalthough, based on police reports from the Santa Clara Police Department, there are far more people claiming to be affected by this problem. Shutting down a known drug house and obtaining monetary damages from the landlord in the form of relocation assistance is a difcult matter without broad consensus from the persons affected. In this case, its a simple matter of lling out a pre-lled declaration, and returning it in the postage-prepaid, self-addressed envelope provided. If anyone requires another declaration and envelope, call or e-mail me immediately.
