Process of preparing a child for reading by engaging the
child with books that they want to read.

When a child is ready to learn to read.

Four Practices To Build Reading Skill..
1. Talking - help them learn oral language, which is an
important early literacy skill.

2. Singing - increase awareness of the sounds of
words, and can be a great vocabulary builder too.

3. Shared reading - help your child become a strong
reader.

4. Writing - learn that letters and words stand for
sounds and has meaning.
ACTIVITIES THAT CAN HELP CHILDREN TO READ..
1. First Sounds in Words

By using picture cards, ask the students to find the objects
that start with the same first sounds of the words.
