Topic outline:

Literacy: In this we will be

writing a story about an adventure
that leaves someone stranded alone
on an exotic desert island. We
will also be writing messages in
bottles to send home from someone
that is stuck alone on an island.

Mathematics: In maths we will be
learning both a mental and written
method for addition and
subtraction. Also we will be
looking at measurement and
distance which links with the
distant of different places around
the world.

Science: In science we will be
investigating the different
species of animals that we would
find living on a desert island.
From that we will then group, sort
and classify those animals. We
will also be investigating what
humans and animals need in order
to survive on an island.
