Although I belong to the Economics Department, I am especially excited about the internship that JSW

offers. JSW is looking for students who are leaders,have the ability to provide innovative and creative
solutions to problems apart from being ambitious and determined.I believe that the theoretical
concepts and their application,the responsibilities I have held during my stay at IIT Kanpur and my
inclination towards reasoning and problem-solving would definitely be a contributing factor to the
profile the company is looking for.
Moreover,working in a manufacturing industry and understanding the dynamics of manufacturing in
itself will be learning experience. JSW provides us a platform where we can hone our skills, work with
the best people in the industry and express ourselves equally.This kind of healthy environment is what I
have been looking for.Here, I would also like to add that I have done some engineering courses such as
manufacturing processes,programming courses which would also aid in understanding manufacturing
and machine operation to some extent.
Needless to say,JSW is the leading steel producer in India in terms of capacity and the fastest-growing
energy company.Working in such a reputable company would provide me with ample opportunities to
succeed further and talented and dedicated people whom I will regularly meet and learn from them.
