Conducted one independent research on vertical integration in the
fashion industry by studying the growth history of Gap, H&M, and
Zara. The study provided the fashion startup with insights on their plans
for growth, product differentiation, and scaling.
Learned basic quantitative and qualitative stock analysis and stock
charts reading techniques. As a group project, performed stock
analysis for Apple, Microsoft, and Dell stocks.
Translated political and business news articles from Chinese to
English. One translation was featured on its homepage.
Sr. Program Manager 09/12-05/14 Hua Yuan Science &
Technology Association Organized three Entrepreneur Discover-
ing China trips: some entrepreneurs startups have been funded by
Chinese governmental funds. Generated $27,000 in revenue in 1 year
through 4 events organized.
Worked with Mr. Santoli, a Pulitzer Award Winner and former
senior security advisor in Congress. Initiated, operated, and
supervised a one-month fundraising campaign, on
globalgiving.org, for the Cancer treatment for 20 children and
30 women Program. Since then, the program has raised $14,234
from 332 donors in 3 years; the donation has cured 47 partici-
pants cancer. It has led to the creation of 5 more new campaign
programs that have raised $56,000 so far.

Challenges: Be a self-starter in some functions in a new environment: Prospecting, insurance claim handling, and relationship building in the
Chinese community in Silicon Valley. Daily activities: Communicate with HRs, insurance companies, and medical service providers; process
claims, prepare enrollment packages, attend open enrollment meetings, answer clients inquiries through Emails or over the phone, and handle
clients requests of adding to or terminating employees from their company policies; English and Chinese translation and interpretation.
Organized the first in-house workshop with ~30 Asian business owners attended. In 1 week, solved a $15,000, one-year old claim
that was to be sent to collection agency. Signed 2 clients through LinkedIn and Yellow pages prospecting. Introduced the impor-
tance of cultural differences when managing a 2,000-employee client that has a large Asian workforce. Continued prospecting
through LinkedIn, Email and telemarketing: received about 8 warm feedbacks that might potentially lead to sales.

Challenges: Serving expatriate clients (in China) with diverse backgrounds and different expectations, be an expert of more than a dozen
international health insurance products; act as the go-to person for French managers, multinational sales team, Chinese vendors, and other
outside partners. Daily activities: Benchmark products, attend sales meetings, solve direct-billing issues for clients, solve problematic claim or
application problems, train customer service team, and answer sales team and clients various health plan inquiries.
Worked with International SOS Beijing to arrange direct billing for a French client who suffered accidental brain injury. Following
the surgery, worked with different responsible parties to arrange the clients repatriation from China to France. Successfully prevent-
ed the loss of a major contract of~$300,000 through detailed and careful account management.
