Dear Brown School families and Friends,
It is time for our annual Academic Open House. It will be next Tuesday, September 23, 2014. We have set it up in two shifts. From 6:00 to 6:30 the Kindergarten, Grade One and Grade Two teachers will be presenting. At 6:45 to 7:15 the Grade Three, Four, and Five will present. All presentations will take place in the classroom. This is a very important opportunity for you to hear from your childs teacher about curriculum, instruction, assessments, homework, classroom routines and expectations.
Based on the survey that we did last year we heard your request for childcare. I have made arrangements with S.P.H.S. to have students from the Interact Club provide childcare in the gym during the presentations.
Also during the evening, Jane Eberle will be providing Volunteer Training and explaining the process of background checks for all field trip chaperones. Jane will have two sessions so that parents can attend a session of Academic Open House and attend a volunteer training session.
I hope that the schedule and the childcare works for many of you. The information being shared will be very helpful as we all work together to provide your child with a great educational experience at Brown School. As always, feel free to contact me if you have any further questions.
