Design Brief

Harlans Pulleys, levers, and inclined plains

Problem Statement:
We have to lift a ping pong ball 2ft. in an upwards direction

And have the ping pong ball stay in place 2ft. above the

surface








Design Statement:
We have a lever attached to a pulley system which pulls the

Ping pong ball up an inclined plane when the lever is pulled.










Constraints:
-The applied effort force may only be provided by a single
Human input.

-The final design must include a minimum of three
Mechanisms including any of the simple machines Gear
system, pulley and belt system, and/or a sprocket chain

- The compound machine must have a mechanical advantage
greater than 1

-Ping pong ball has to go up 2ft. in the air and stay there.
