TOPIC: FORCE

A force is an influence on a system or object
which, acting alone, will cause the motion of the
system or object to change. If a system or object
at rest is subjected to a non-zero force it will start
to move
CONTACT FORCE

In physics, a contact force is a force that
acts at the point of contact between two
objects, in contrast to body forces. Contact
forces are described by Newton's laws of
motion, as with all other forces in
dynamics. Contact force is the force in
which an object comes in contact with
another object.

NON CONTACT FORCE
A non-contact force is a force applied to
an object by another body that is not in
direct contact with it. The most familiar
example of a non-contact force is
weight. In contrast a contact force is
a force applied to a body by another
body that is in contact with it.
EXTERNAL FORCE

An external force is a force between a
part of a system and something outside
the system while external forces
include the applied force, normal force,
tension force, friction force, and air
resistance force
INTERNAL FORCE
When two parts of a system exert
forces on each other, those forces are
said to be internal forces for the
system.

BALANCED FORCE
Forces that are equal in size but
opposite in direction are called balanced
forces. Balanced forces do not cause a
change in motion. When balanced
forces act on an object at rest, the
object will not move.

UNBALANCED FORCE

An unbalance force is one that is not
opposed by an equal and opposite force
operating directly against the force
intended to cause a change in the
object's state of motion or rest
NEWTONS FIRST LAW
Every object in a state of uniform motion tends
to remain in that state of motion unless an
external force is applied to it.
INERTIA

Inertia is the resistance of any physical
object to any change in its state of
motion, including changes to its speed
and direction. It is the tendency of
objects to keep moving in a straight line
at constant velocity.
