Volunteer Started the group H.O.P.E 200 + hours
An outreach group focused on women who are victims of abuse. This group
helps victims realize that they are beautiful and strong, and that as women, we have an
honorable purpose in this world.
Tutoring child with dyslexia 150 hours
Tutored a child who struggles with dyslexia in subjects such as math, spelling, and
reading.
Mission Work Rebuilding the Rockaways 50 hours
Volunteered through my church to rebuild an area in New York City that was
severely damaged by hurricane Sandy. Rebuilt houses, schools, etc. Also created
relationships with the people of the rockaways and helped them get through a
devastating time.
Organized a fundraiser for a Disabled woman in my community 11
th
grade
Organized a fundraiser for a young mother in my town who had suddenly
become paralyzed. Raised money for the family to purchase wheel chair ramps
and pay for the hospital bills.

Interned in the neuroscience research wing of Columbia University

Researched brain aneurysms and strokes with a team of interns under the
leadership of neurosurgeon Dr. Connolly. Research was published in a medical
journal.
