What kind of self am I?


Of all the kinds of self that were discussed, each having their own definition of the
self, I can fully associate myself with "the narrative self". I believe that my identity is found
in the experiences I have before, what I experience at present, and those that I will be
experiencing in the future. All of these form my narrative and I have always defined myself
with these experiences.

I believe that I cannot define myself with the characteristics that I show to others
and those traits I have because they change over time and as I go on with my life, I create
a narrative that connects to the past, enabling me to define myself better at present. I liken
myself to a book wherein there are many twists and turns, up and downs that the main
character goes through until the end. I am in this chapter of my life where I discover more
about myself and prepare for what is to come after my stay in the university. I have always
wanted to be able to share a narrative that is worth reading, and perhaps this is the reason
why I always continuously find and do the many things that make this life of mine worth
living.
