Key vocabulary: shirt, t-shirt, shorts, pants, suit, dress, skirt, coat,
gloves, sandals, sneakers, sunglasses, cap, tie, dress, sweater,
boots

clothing items, white board, markers

Opening: What is Teacher wearing? Can anyone tell me what this is (point to a piece of clothing you are wearing)?

Teacher Will: Hold up each piece of clothing and ask
What is this?. Repeat for all vocab. Tell name if they
do not know.
Student Will: Answer with the names of clothing.
Co-Teaching Strategy/Differentiation : Each teacher can take turns asking and telling the students.

Teacher Will: Put students in pairs, explain the worksheet
to the students, and do an example if needed. Walk
around class and ensure the students are working with
partner and staying on task. Help if needed. Check when
finished but let students tell the answers to each one.
Student Will: Work with partner to complete the
worksheet. Are speaking English. Answer when
checking the worksheet.
Co-Teaching Strategy/Differentiation: Jim checks worksheet with them.

Teacher Will: Split into two teams. Play Grab It. Student Will: Each student takes turns racing to grab
the clothing item that the teacher says first.
Co-Teaching Strategy/Differentiation: Jim says the clothing the students need to pick up, while Libby keeps score
and makes sure turns are being taken.
Closing/Student Reflection/Real-life connections: Ask them to write down what they are wearing today.
