    SOCIAL CHANGE REFERS TO CHANGES IN THE WAY SOCIETY IS ORGANIZED AND


    IN THE BELIEFS AND PRACTICES OF THE PEOPLE WHO LIVE IN IT. YOUR
    ASSIGNMENT IS TO LOOK AT CHANGE IN CANADIAN SOCIETY IN THE LAST 60
    YEARS AND TO PREDICT FUTURE CHANGE.
    Part One choose 2 areas of Canadian life which you believe to have changed significantly in
    the last 60 years. Keep in mind the above definition. Use your own knowledge as well as some
    basic research (statistics, studies, laws) to answer the following questions for each change you
    have chosen.
    1. Explain how your chosen area has changed in the last 60 years. (5 marks each) Use statistics
    other facts to support your opinion.
    2. Tell me what factors you believe caused the changes. Explain. (2 each)
    3. Do you believe that the changes on a whole have been beneficial or detrimental to Canadian
    society? Explain. (2 marks each)
    * Please answer all 3 questions for change topic #1 and then for change topic#2. Answers
    should be written in proper sentences and paragraphs.
    Part Two think about the change that will take place in Canadian society by the time you are
