Revolution command and then make a square or rectangular base and use the Emboss tool to write your name and period on the side of the base. 1. Create a new standard part file in inches 2. Use the 2D sketch command and draw the outline of a cup using the Line tool, remember it must be a closed figure to be able to revolve it.
3. You can use the Offset tool to help you make the profile. You will use the bottom far right vertical edge for the axis of revolution and the entire figure for the profile. 4. Use the Line tool to draw a vertical line at the top of the sketch as shown in the detail below in red. 5. Use the Line tool to draw a horizontal line a the bottom right of your sketch as shown in the detail in red below. 6. Use the Trim tool which looks like a pair of scissors to remove the unwanted parts of the outline. When you are finished using the Trim tool you will have a profile that looks like the one shown here. 7. Use the vertical edge shown with the red arrow below as the axis of rotation. Click on the inside of the outline to select the profile . 8. Click on finish sketch. In the program ribbon look for the 3D Tab, and in the Create section (next to Extrude) click on the Revolve tool. Click OK to finish the revolve.
9. Use the view cube to rotate the part to the bottom side. Create a new 2D sketch on the bottom. Click finish sketch and Extrude join the part outward as shown. The recommended distance is 1.0 inches.
10. Create a new 2D sketch on the side of the block. Click on the text tool shown in red. In the dialog box that opens type in your first and last name and period.
11. Create a new 2D sketch on the side of the block ask shown. Use the Text tool in the Sketch Tab to write Your first last name and period. Click on Finish sketch.
12. In the th program select the Emoboss tool. Select the text as the profile and click OK
