Lesson 12: Summative assessment presentations

Estimated Time:
120 minutes

Lesson Objectives:
Plan, research, rehearse and deliver spoken presentations specific to learning areas
by: selecting and sequencing researched content, refining ideas and language
choices, selecting multimodal resources to influence audiences to accept a point of
view - LS6 (ii)
Use visual features for impact, including using placement on the page, choice of
colours and analytical images, e.g. figures, tables, diagrams, maps and graphs - WC6
(xii)

Class Organisation:
Individual students presenting to peers and teacher

Resources:
Computer for students presentations

Learning Experiences:
1. Organise students in regards to order of presentations and tell them to be respectful
of other students while they are presenting
2. Give students final encouragement before presentations begin
3. Begin presentations, observe students work for summative assessment
4. Once everyone has presented congratulate everyone on their presentations and their
good work throughout the unit

Assessment:
Students will be assessed on their presentation

Adjustments:
Students having difficulties presenting can be guided by an assistant or teacher
