Avon Day is the town's largest annual community event held on September 27th (or 28th if rain) at Thompson Brook School from 11am to 6:30pm. The event features food, entertainment, and informational booths from local organizations to promote town spirit and educate residents. Becoming a "Friend of Avon Day" with a donation will help continue this celebration, now in its 32nd year, of the community. Activities will include clowns, karate demonstrations, a hot air balloon, pie eating contest, and more.

Avon Day is the towns largest Community Event and has been going strong since 1982! Lets keep it going!
Avon Day was conceived as a way to promote town spirit and interest in the community, and to educate both new and long-term residents about Avons wide variety of service organizations and their programs. AVON DAY consists of food booths, entertainment, informational booths for local service organizations and corporate booths. This is a fun family day for residents and visitors.
