Coaching Philosophy

I believe that a good coaching philosophy should be based on leadership, goal setting,
flexibility, motivation, visualization, and personal responsibility. I believe in being my own
person and learning from others who have had success along the way. A coach should try to
expose himself to many different situations, people, and ways to learn.

A key to success is to decide what is vital to you. You can meet every goal that you have
if you have high expectations as all coaches should, but if you take the goals that are most vital
to your success and emphasize them, then you will have a much better chance at being a
successful coach. Another key to success is to believe in what you are doing. If you dont believe
than you cant expect your players to buy in and execute how they should. Preparing for a season
or a game is also key, if the coaches are unprepared than there is no way the athletes will be
prepared to compete. The final key to being a successful coach is to correct mistakes and demand
execution. Always point out what went wrong and how to fix it with positivity rather than
negativity.
