Development of Eyes

1. As we know, in the last stage of gastrulation there are 3 layers are ectoderm, mesoderm and
endoderm. Ectoderm will separated be two neyral ectoderm and epidermis ectoderm.
Neural ectoderm will form neural tube and neural crest. Neural tube will form the early
brain, prosensefalon, mesensefalon and rombesefalon.
2. Prosessefalon will have early depression, called optic sulcus. Its will do evagination move to
form primary optic vesicle, the primary optic vesicle become wider until overlying the
ectoderm. And then the ectoderm thickened and become lens vesicle.
3. The lens vesicle will inducted the optic vesicle to form optic cup by do invagination
movement. And the caused the optic cup have two layers. The inner (thick) become sensory
layer of retina and the outer (thin) become pigment layer of retina.
4. The lens vesicle will become lens,as we know the lens vesicle formed from ectoderm that
have been inducted, then the lens will do delimination movement to separated from
ectoderm. Then the ectoderm will do epiboli movement to covered the lens and form
cornea.
5. Then the sensory layer occurs constriction formed optic stalk that contain the vision neurons
and blood vessels.
