Timing Additional time
Students may need additional time for reading and
writing activities. Students will have additional time (1
hour) when writing their Untold Ned Kelly story and
Newspaper Feature Article with the Literacy Support
assistant.
If a parent helper is available in lessons, assistance
with reading and writing can be available when in
group or individual work.
Frequent breaks
No adjustment required
Scheduling Number of sessions
Students will participate with their other classmates
however will have additional sessions (2 hours) with the
Literacy support Assistant.
Order of sessions
Students will participate in the same order as the rest of
the class with the exception of extra sessions prior, during
or after these learning experiences.
Setting Location: Furniture,
resources, supervision
Students will participate in their additional time with the
Literacy Support outside the classroom. Resources, tables
and chairs will be required for these sessions.
Seating: Placement
These sessions can occur in the student support room or
outside the classroom.
Presentation Cues and prompts
Students will be given additional support in regards to
verbal instructions, to ensure that they understand the
tasks required.
