Unit Orientation The teacher begins the lesson by getting
the students to tell her what a gold coin is
made out of and what a golden nugget is
made and then will ask the students if it is
the same thing.

Building knowledge of the

The teacher will firstly do a KWL chart with
the students to find out what they already
know. The teacher will then show the
students a short movie clip about the gold
rush.

Throughout the learning experiences the
starting of the lesson is mostly always
teaching the students background
information.

the students after reviewing their writing.
The instrument being used is a feedback
sheet where the students receive a
positive feedback comment and a could
improve on comment

presentation on a important person in gold
