Born To Run Questions

When McDougall is diagnosed with cuboid syndrome by Dr. Joe Torg he feels a
whirlwind of emotions. Describe the emotions he felt. Why did he strive to find another
doctor's opinion, and what was the outcome? Have you ever seeked more answers to
something that you could not believe?

When McDougall is diagnosed he is filled with disbelief he explains that he has only
been running two or three miles every other day(8). According to Doctor Torg he has
messed up most muscles in his legs and is told running is his problem(8). This fills
McDougall with disappointment and a hint of sadness. I think he wanted to see another
doctor because he was in denial that running is his problem(8). When he loved it so
much and felt it was his purpose. The outcome was that the other doctor diagnosed him
as well then scolded him for thinking Doctor Torg was wrong. As for me I have seeked
for different answers, I was told I could never be an actor because its simply too hard, but
like McDougall I have a passion that I refuse to give up on. Just because I was told its an
impossible dream does not mean I wont stop at nothing to make it reality.

The moment McDougall sees the red truck he feels shivers throughout his entire body
what was specifically frightening about this truck. Why even though afraid did he
proceed?

McDougall was afraid for his and Salvadors life because the red truck was drug affiliated
and the drug cartel targets journalist and musicians(24). Salvador being a musician and
McDougall being a journalist, it was almost as if there was a red target painted on there
back. They proceeded because there was no other way. They had a mission to find the
Tarahumara and they put there life in danger to prove to the world and themselves that no
matter what there is no turning back.

Caballo Blanco is referred to as not a ghost, but a dead soul. What is being implied when
he is said to be a dead soul? What changes him from just being referred to as a ghost by
the Tarahumara?
