What is Facelift?
Yosemite Facelift is a volunteer event started by the Yosemite Climbing Association (YCA) in 2004 to
encourage climbers and other park visitors to clean up the park at the end of the busy season. Over
1,000 people participate each year to remove trash, rehabilitate abandoned roads and trails, and
generally help to protect the natural and cultural resources of Yosemite. YCA sponsors and organizes
the event in cooperation with the National Park Service; YCA provides funding, entertainment, and
logistical support in conjunction with its sponsors.
