7:00 a.m. 1:00 p.m. Alternate Route: Metropolitan Avenue Grand Street Bridge over Newtown Creek On three Saturdays, October 4, 11, and 18, the NYC Department of Transportation Division of Bridges will close the Grand Street Bridge over Newtown Creek to strengthen the deck gratings and replace the surface of the pedestrian path.
