who received a diploma as a Patient Care Technician. I am writing in response
to the Patient Care Technician opening you have available as advertised through
the Abrazo Health website. Along with my true enthusiasm and motivation, I
am confident that my skills and professional experience will ensure my
capability to succeed at your facility. As youll see on the enclosed resume as
well as my Professional Portfolio, my experience as a Patient Care Technician
offers you the opportunity to hire a person who needs little or no training and
who is comfortable and successful with the details of the job.
I believe I am a good candidate for this position because I have the necessary
education and overall requirements needed to work as a Patient Care Technician
in the State of Arizona. I am certified in First Aid, CPR, HIPAA and OSHA and
I have demonstrated my ability to remain focused and learn key objectives by
maintaining a 4.0 GPA throughout the semesters at Brookline College. While
completing my 160 hour Externship at Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center,
I developed my procedural assisting skills, enjoyed learning new techniques,
and worked at building great professional interpersonal relationships. I feel
privileged to have the opportunity to work with health professionals of various
higher educational backgrounds and would enjoy the chance to be able to apply
the skills Im knowledgeable about as well as learn new things on a daily basis
through department rotations.

As a Patient Care Technician extern in the Emergency Department, I was given
the unique experience of learning something new every day through the various
patients that arrive. Through the high volume turnovers required, Ive obtained

excellent training and experience from preparing rooms for patient admission
with proper equipment and supplies; to performing basic patient care duties
such as ambulating, bathing, taking vital signs, positioning, and appropriate
disposal of hazardous waste in a timely manner.

Additionally, I was entrusted with and have become very skilled in performing
advanced patient care tasks such as:
Collecting and testing specimens
Inserting/removing straight and folly catheters
Phlebotomy work
Saline Lock Insertions
Level II wound care
Furthermore, I believe that my calm demeanor and attention to detail places me
at a great advantage in performing under pressure and assuring high volume
turnovers with every patient that walks through the E.R while maintaining
excellent customer satisfaction.
