She was born in Skopje on August
26 in 1910. She was baptized with
the name of Gonxha Agnes.

While still a child, entered the Marian
Congregation of the Daughters of Mary
she traveled to Dublin.
As I wanted to be a missionary in India,
sailed to Bengal, where she studied
teaching and chose the name Teresa to
profess.

She founded
the
Congregation
of the
Missionaries
of Charity.

John Paul II's
visited the
House of the
Pure Heart,
founded by
her.

She died on September 5, 1997.
She was beatified in 2003 by Pope
John Paul II.


For me, Mother Teresa is a hero
because she gave her life to help the
needy.
