Nagasaki Poems
1945
August 6, atomic bomb
Japanese city.
Nagasaki Poem
Sirens running
Everybody terrified
Waiting
Staring
Watching
Hoping it wouldnt fall on them,
Spending their last times together
Peace
Silence
Dreaming
Nagasaki
The aftershock not only took Japan by surprise but also America,
80,000 people died in the city Hiroshima,
Silence from the enemy
No reply
Still dangerous
72 hours passed once again, another atomic bomb has fallen
Nagasaki fell victim to Americas power,
No more harm
Surrendered
Peace again.
