Dear Parent(s) or Guardian(s):

I am writing you today to ensure that you are aware of the laboratory requirement in your students
science course The Living Environment and in all New York State science courses subject to testing by a
Regents Examination.
Included in this requirement are 1200 minutes of designated investigation time, satisfactory completion
of laboratory reports for each investigation, and completion of specific New York State mandated
investigations. In addition Urban Choice Charter School is required to store the completed laboratory
notebooks of each student for a minimum of 3 years.
These requirements are easily met by participating fully in class; Completing pre-lab write-ups before
each investigation. Working diligently to complete investigations during provided class time and
satisfactorily completing each report.
We need your signature in the space provided below in order to confirm that both you and your child
are aware of this laboratory requirement.
