Tangy Oven Chili

1 pound (500g) dry red kidney beans


2 pounds (1 kilo) ground beef
2 medium onions
1 medium green pepper, chopped
2 envelopes chilli seasoning mix
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp sugar
2 cans ( 2 ounces ! 0g each) diced tomatoes, undrained
1 can (12 ounces ! 250g each) tomato paste
2 cans ( ounces ! 250g each) crushed pineapple, undrained
