PREREQUISITE: Must have 500 hours practical welding experience, or already certified to another AWS or
ASME code, or permission of the instructor.
COURSE DESCRIPTION
This practicum is highly Iocused. It is designed Ior the sole purpose oI preparing experienced
welders Ior certiIication to American Petroleum Institute Standard 1104 (Pipe), 6G position.
While some theory is included, the course content is predominately hands-on. The certiIication
test will be simulated in the classroom, however, Iees Ior the actual certiIication test are not
included in the tuition.
