How can you find statistics on how many

people are in the average household in
Illinois?
To find this answer, and more, use the Statistical
Abstract of the United States and use the
American FactFinder.
http://factfinder2.census.gov/faces/nav/jsf/pag
es/index.xhtml
This information can be used to answer a lot
of questions. Not only does it give you
statistics, but it also gives you more in-depth
information, such as:
Just male householders, with no wife, who have
children.
Just female householdser, with no husband, but
who have children.
Also, it includes grandparent household
numbers, veteran status, U.S. citizen status,
and languages spoken in households, all in
Illinois.
As you can see, these are the statistics that show up
when you search how many people are in the
average household.
Go to
http://www.census.gov/compendia/statab/
Scroll to the bottom of the page, where Find
Data is located. Under the heading, you will find
American FactFinder, click that option, which
will take you to that page.

From there, conduct an advance search and
click show me all.

In the Refine your search results, in the topic of
table name type how many people are in the
average household. Then, in the state, county or
place box type Illinois and click go.
When the search results show up, click on the first
option, selected social characteristics in the united
states. From there, you will find all the statistics
you need to know about the average households in
