The Story

enough he traveled to Athens to meet his father, and was
well known by the time he arrived. Soon after his arrival,
Theseus left as part of the 14 maidens who traveled every
nine years from Athens to Crete and were served as
presents for the Minotaur. There, Daedalus, the daughter
of King Minos fell in love with Theseus, and gave him a
ball of yard in order for him to be able to escape from the
labyrinth after killing the Minotaur. On the way back to
Athens Theseus, who was bringing Daedalus back to
Athens, dropped the young princess off in an Island and
sailed off to Athens without here.
The Story
! Just as the Ship was approaching the Port, Theseus forgot
to put up the white sail as he had promised to his father,
and his father thinking that Theseus was dead, committed
suicide. For the next years Theseus ruled over Athens, and
together with his friend Pirithous they encountered many
great adventures. On one of their less fortunate ones, they
both got trapped in the underworld, and only Theseus
could be saved. Later, Theseus had a son named
Hyppolytus who was also a brave, strong young man.
Unfortunately, Theseus wife Phaedra, fell in love with
Hyppolytus. She was ashamed of her love, so she decided
to die, and not say anything to anyone. Hyppolytus
confronted her, and she comitted suicide, but left a note for
Theseus telling him that Hyppolytus had killed her. When
Theseus returned home, he found her dead, read the note,
and exiled Hyppolytus from Athens. Hyppolytus then
died, and Artemis told Theseus the truth about Phaedra.
