OBJECTIVE
Provided leadership and coordination in the use of technology, including all support services and
educational operations. Collaboratively designed, implemented, and monitored the district’s
technology plan. Acted as liaison between user departments and computer personnel and served as
the central contact person for user reporting to the state repository system.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Functioned as the catalyst for administering student management systems: eSchoolData, Infinite Campus, Sun
Valley Sun including enrollment, attendance, grade reporting, transcripts, scheduling and parent portal.

Acted as data administrator to coordinate the flow and sequence of data and information from all computer systems
to State Repository. Prepared all files: Student Lite, Enrollment, Program for Level 0, Level 1 and NYstart. Reports
Step and SA 129 information to the State.

Updated, prepared and presented appropriate information at Advisory, Leadership Team and Board of Education
meetings. Participated in BOCES liaison meetings as District Chief Information Officer regarding data collection.
Called media for delayed openings and cancellation of school due to inclement weather.

Made changes in data format between systems: IEP Direct (special education program), Finance Manager (business
system), PTAS (transportation program), Lunch Cruncher (school lunch program ) and Infinite Campus and eSchool
Data (student management systems). Designed district reports for all systems: eSchool Data, Infinite Campus - Ad
hoc, and Finance Manager - Progress Report Writer. Prepared data for contract negotiations.
Acted on behalf of the Superintendent when he was not in district. Substituted for building principals.

Supervised technical and clerical support staff. Completed employee evaluations and teacher APPR plans. Acted as
a coach and facilitator in developing their individual competencies.

Computerized business, personnel, transportation, school lunch, health insurance and special education offices;
Including needs assessment, implementation plan, staff development, and an evaluation process.

Wrote and coordinated the computer/technology education curriculum; Developed student competencies and
assessments. Designed workshops with BOCES Teacher Integration Specialist (Model Schools) which integrate
computer technology with the New York State Standards and Assessments

Initiated and oversaw the design of the district’s web page. Taught PTA members to construct their web pages.
Used a product called “E-Board” with department chairpersons and directors.

Introduced a comprehensive computer/technology budget. Oversaw audio-visual department.

Initiated and developed a district staff development plan for implementing computers/technology on instructional
and administrative levels. Introduced Smart Board technologies (interactive whiteboard). Provided technical
assistance for software support on all applications: Microsoft Office, Infinite Campus, E-School Data and Finance
Manager) to all staff.

Taught in-service, graduate and adult education courses for teachers, graduate students and community members in
Computer Literacy, Basic, Logo, DOS, Word Processing (Appleworks, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Works,
ClarisWorks, and WordPerfect) and Software Integration. Devised a plan for introducing staff to the "Internet" and
E-mail.

Procured funding sources - grants such as State Legislative Grants, federals, E-Rate, and the Apple Partnership
Grant; responsible for administrative detail including monitoring the budget, implementation of the grants and
required reports.

Researched, recommended and implemented the computer technology bond referendum. Collected and analyzed
information for designing an instructional and administrative Wide Area Network (WAN) as well as Local Area
Networks (LAN) through the district. Implemented the designs of both WAN and LAN

Acted as co-chairperson for developing new Attendance Policy; presenting it to faculty, PTAs and community
organizations.
