Strong winds exceeding 40km/hr and large waves exceeding 2.0
meters are expected over the entire coast.
Level of Confidence: High: (70%)
Expected Area :
Coastal areas of Tanga, Dar es Salaam, Pwani, Lindi, Mtwara regions
together with Unguja and Pemba Isles.
Text:
This is due to strengthening of the high pressure system over the
southeast of Africa resulting into strong southerly winds over Tanzanian
coast.
Advisory:
Sea users and residents of mentioned areas are advised to take necessary
precautions.
Remarks: TMA will continue to monitor the situation and issue updates when
necessary.
