Autumn Walks, Oct-Dec 2014 The St George Strollers organise regular, healthy walks in or around the vicinity of St George, East Bristol. Walks are open to all, but please contact Nicola if you are new to walking with us or have additional needs. Please arrive 10 mins early if you are joining us for the first time. Fri 3rd October Chew Valley Lake Outside Aldi, Church Road, 9.25am Coach A coach trip to Chew Valley and a walk along by the lake and through neighbouring fields. Annual partnership walk involving many groups from around Bris- tol, 1, 2 and 3 mile options with refreshments provided after- wards. Please make your own way to the start point as none of St George Strollers walk leaders are able to make this date.
Wed 15th October Hambrook to Frenchay Bristol Bus Sta- tion, 10.35am
Bus 46, (Usually Bay 14) A linear walk along part of the River Frome Walkway coming out into the open spaces of Frenchay. Some uneven ground which is likely to be muddy, so please wear strong footwear. Leader: Clare

An easy access walk around Netham Park and some hidden features of the Barton Hill area. Shorter loop of about 1 mile can include a cafe stop Leader: Lea
Tue 18th November St Annes Park and Woods Corner of Blackswarth Rd, opposite Fireclay Rd, 10am
A loop along the wharves of the old St Annes Board Mills and back to the river footbridge via Wyatts View Open Space, a 1 mile option suitable for those wanting a shorter walk. The walk then takes a gentle climb to St Annes Park, down through St Annes Woods on newly maintained paths and passing St Annes holy well and back to our start point. Leader: Susan
Thurs 4th December Cossham Hos- pital and Hill- fields Gordon Rd bus stop on White- hall Rd, 10.15am Bus no 7 A walk from the highest point in Bristol taking in some wonderful views, a section of the Railway Path, a park and some pleasant suburban streets. This is all on pavements or tarmac paths. We will catch a no 6 bus from Hillfields Avenue to return to St George Leader: Angela

A walk to visit Cleopatras resting place and two of St Georges lesser known green spaces. Afterwards we will have our Christ- mas bring and share get together and meeting at Summerhill Methodist Church. No donations will be collected for this walk. Leader: Susan
