Parents,
Last week we created a paragraph about
ourselves. Soon they will be on display in our
hallway. I will try to send a copy home this
week.
Our class is really working on responsibility.
Many of the students are forgetting homework
folders, leaving lunch boxes, and losing their
reward bank cards. I make an effort to remind
the kids about these things at least once. After
the reminders, I let the students deal with what
happens when they forget. I am trying to use it
as a learning opportunity. So if your child comes
home without their lunch box it is often because
they forgot to get it out of the lunch cart. My
approach is to let them have the natural
consequences of not being responsible.
