Thomas Eric Duncan, the first diagnosed Ebola patient in the U.S., died today at 7:51 am
at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital.
On September 28 he was admitted to the hospital and kept in isolation, according to
spokesman Wendell Watson.
After his arrival from Liberia to Dallas, TX on September 20, Duncan became ill a few
days later.
Upon his visit back home in Liberia, it is believed that Duncan contracted the disease
when helping a pregnant woman who was diagnosed with the virus, then later died.
Those who were potentially in contact with Duncan will be monitored for 21 days.
