by APG Network
Dear Airline Executive
Richard Burgess
President
2
It has taken us more than 20 years to build the
APG Network, the worlds leading network for
commercial and distribution services for airlines.
We had three key objectives:
To be global, and present in all the key mar-
kets in the world. Through our 108 worldwide
ofces, we now cover 176 countries.
To be the best in each market. By bringing
together the key independent players in each
country, we have created a team of highly
experienced local managers and a strong
presence in all areas of the world.
To maintain a close relationship with IATA and
ARC. Over many years, we have achieved a
very special relationship with IATA and ARC,
including the joint creation of new distribution
products.
Our key goals are to help airlines exploit small-
and medium-sized markets on a variable
cost basis, to generate more revenue for less
cost, and to maximize an airlines distribution
network with a comprehensive approach
based on a tailored portfolio of our various
distribution products.
The APG Network is organized on a worldwide
basis with individual ofces per country and
a corporate body at the centre, APG Inc. The
management of the network is carried out
by a Board which includes the President of
the Network, the CEO of APG Inc. the COO
of the Network, one Vice President per major
geographical area and one Executive Product
Director per product.
In this catalogue, we will have the pleasure
to introduce you to our members and our
organization and in particular, James W.
FOSTER, our Chief Operating Ofcer based in
New York, will introduce you to our portfolio of
products (see pages 10-11).
Our four Vice Presidents are Raul ROCA from
Buenos Aires covering the Americas, Ferzan
UNLUSOY from Istanbul covering Europe, Djibril
B. TABOURE from Bamako covering the Middle
East & Africa and Keiko ASANO based in Tokyo
covering Asia.

decisions regarding the Network: appointments and
cancellations, approval of budgets and acceptance of
new products into the APG World Program.
There are two yearly general meetings. The Annual
General Meeting is conducted in Geneva in the spring
at IATA s Headquarters; and the General Commercial
Meeting called APG World Connect, a renowned
aviation event in its own right, is held in a different area
of the world every year. Recent meetings have been
held in Athens, Bangkok, Barcelona, Cairo, Istanbul,
Milan, Montreal, Rio de Janeiro, San Jose, Dead Sea
Jordan, Monaco and Singapore.

APG World Program
Access to a complete set of commercial and distribution products, available
worldwide, by signing with any one of the APG Network Member.
Airlines can have worldwide access to the
APG Network products by signing contracts
with any one of the APG Network Members.
I am James W. FOSTER, COO of the APG
Network, based in New York and in charge of
Commercializing the APG Network product
line. We work under the three guiding principles
below, that is, we are:
Airline Focused on Distribution and
Financial Services
Targeted at improving Airlines Global
Incremental Revenue and
Operating on a Variable Cost,
Success Basis
In these difcult times, there are only two
ways to improve your business cut costs
or increase revenues. Most of the meaningful
cost cutting has likely been done, and
everyone is aware of core market revenue
enhancement. However, what are you doing
about marginal online, and ofine markets
to generate more revenues? Could a global
revenue increment of 5-10% without investing your
own staff assets be helpful?
Grow Your Global Business on a variable
cost basis.
We can show you how to grow your incremental
global business on a success basis increasing
sales in markets that are currently lying fallow
not working for you. We can explain how successful
airlines use a mix of Interline, BSP/ARC and Online
Travel Agency (OTA) sales Channels to optimize
revenues and demonstrate how the APG Network
programs can energize your revenues in each.

APG AACP - The ARC ASP Coordinator Program
12
Introduction to and management of ARC membership in USA
Functional Description
The Airlines Reporting Corporation (ARC) manages
and operates the Area Settlement Plan (ASP) for the
USA - analogous to IATAs BSP system. Developed
by ARC for airlines and agents, it provides them
with a simplied approach to the selling, reporting,
settlement and administration of passenger air
transportation. ARC has 195 airline members.
Building on the success of the IATA IBCS program,
APG USA developed a variable cost program
with the Airlines Reporting Corporation, enabling
airlines access to the 14,300 strong ARC accredited
travel agents. 39 airlines currently participate in the
AACP program and APG USA has been named
a recipient of the ARC Sales Partner of the Year
award for its efforts. ARC processes 190 million air
tickets annually, valued at just over $85 billion
49% of which are international tickets.
Target Audience
Legacy Airlines, Hybrid Carriers, Low Cost Airlines,
Start Ups, Domestic, International, Online, Ofine,
even Railroads.
Solution
ARC in conjunction with APG USA offers three levels of
participation opportunities to allow carriers to increase
their revenues from the US market at the lowest possible
cost per transaction:
1. Transaction Only Program designed for
Start-ups, Ofine Carriers, or any Non-ARC
participating carriers to either test the market
and/or build brand recognition in the US,
featuring a low, one-time joining fee, and
monthly variable costs based on transactions
and revenue generated.
2. Associate Carrier Program Those carriers
with higher volumes of transactions can begin
participation with a one-time low joining fee,
a minimal monthly xed cost and a lower
monthly variable cost based on transactions
and revenues generated.
3. Full Carrier Program designed for larger volume
carriers that are mainly online with a one-time joining
fee, a minimal monthly xed cost and the lowest
monthly variable cost based on transactions and
revenues generated.
APG USA assists Carriers with:
1. ARC Joining formalities for any of the three
ARC membership programs (Transaction Only,
Associate or Full)
2. ARC Coordination Services, which include:
Acting as Legal Representative and the ARC
administrative interface

APG ACTP APG Corporate Travel Plan
14
Introduction to and management of ARC membership in USA
Functional Description
UATP is a form of payment which enables
airlines to lower their distribution costs. In 2012,
the annual UATP volume reached USD13 billion
worldwide, a 100% increase in 7 years. UATP
helps the airline industry to save approximately
USD200 million per year in credit card costs.
Although UATP is accepted by most airlines its
volume of transactions in emerging markets
remains limited.
In partnership with UATP, APG created a new tailored
product called ACTP which is commercialized by
its network to focus on underserved corporate card
markets. With ACTP, APG can now help airlines to
enhance their offer towards corporate customers,
a segment which is a source of higher yield.
Target Audience
Small and medium sized carriers have the
possibility to co-brand a UATP card with APG. ACTP
is a genuine marketing tool for airlines who are
seeking to develop their brand awareness towards
corporate customers.
Solution
ACTP provides partner airlines with a unique
co-branded travel payment solution in order to
generate extra sales on the corporate segment.
Partner airlines now have the possibility to bring
added-value to corporate customers by offering
a secured mean of payment free of charge and
accepted by 260 merchant airlines.
- In order to join ACTP, airlines must become
UATP merchants and accept UATP as a form of
payment
- Once partner airlines are UATP merchants
they can appoint APG to administer the ACTP
Program. APGs role will be to:
Enable the issuance of co-branded UATP cards
to corporate subscribers
Assess risk on corporate customers
Insure the payments of sales made with co-
branded UATP cards
Administer UATPs central billing system

APG IET Interline E-Ticketing
The way to recover Interline agreements lost with the E-Ticketing policy
Functional Description
On June 1, 2008, IATA discontinued support of
paper tickets in all BSPs worldwide, accepting
only Electronic tickets after that date. Today, most
paper ticket interline agreements between air-
lines have been cancelled and many carriers are
scrambling to replace them with IET agreements.
The Interline revenue lost in the transition from
paper interline agreements to IET is estimated
between 2% and 20% of Interline revenue turno-
ver. Interline revenues account for 13.7% of airline
revenues industry wide. Working with our partner
Heli Air Monaco (YO/747), a scheduled airline
ying between Nice, France and Monaco, APG
IET allows all joining airlines access to ticketing by
travel agents in the ARC and 80 BSPs covering
more than 135 countries worldwide. Additionally,
it gives member carriers the ability to interline via
YO/747 with all those airlines that have, or will join,
the APG IET program.
Target Audience
All airlines, large and small need APG IET. No
airline is distributed in all BSPs; big carriers have
reduced their Interline partner lists, and small air-
lines are having trouble obtaining the interline e-
ticketing agreements that they need.
Solution
An airline joining APG IET signs one single
reciprocal interline e-ticketing agreement or
concurs via the MITA with Heli Air Monaco (YO-
747) to be connected with YO and all of its IET
partners.
Once the IET agreement is signed, APG will
develop the required electronic links with the
signing carrier.

The BSP system, operating in 83 locations covering
over 140 countries, has accredited 64,000 travel

250 airlines to BSP membership in both Online

ted IBCS contracts in force in the BSPs around the
world.
