MA Southeast Asian Studies

The MA in Southeast Asian Studies is an interdisciplinary programme that seeks to provide a


combined coursework-research postgraduate training to students who wish to develop a broad and
sufficiently deep understanding of Southeast Asia while upgrading their professional qualifications. It
is suitable to graduates (with at least second class honours) of any social science and humanities
courses, business, education, media and other professional degrees who may or may not have prior
background to the region.
Intake: August
Admission Requirement:
English Proficiency: IELTS Score of 6.0; Credit 6 GCE 0
Bachelors degree (second class honours) or equivalent from a recognised university or a
professional qualification and/or relevant professional experience subject to the approval of
the Senate.
Period of Candidature
(a) 12 - 24 months for a full-time candidate; or
(b) 24 - 48 months for a part-time candidate
