" Planners: These are coming home today!
Please make sure you check the planner for
daily messages and initial you have seen it.
" Spelling: This will be our first week with
students bringing home spelling folders. I have
photocopied the tasks on 11 x 17 paper in
order to save paper and copying costs. Please
complete one page/night for 4 nights;
Monday- Thursday. Send it back DAILY so I can
check over their work. I will send it back
home at the end of each day. This will help
them study!
" Take Home Reading: Our Home reading
calendar for October will be sent home
tomorrow. Right now we have been working
on IPICK books so that they can bring home a
book that is at their reading level and of
interest to them. Please read it with them
tonight. Ask them about the 5 finger rule,
to see if their book fits the criteria. Please
respond in the planner by letting me know if
they are picking a book that is:
" -too easy
" -too hard
" -just right
