Presented by: Madeline, Dalton, and Andrew UWRT 1103 October 2, 2014 Who is the Speaker and Tone? The speaker is not only a journalist but also a historian, he focuses his time on how our natural craving for war effects culture and vice versa. The writer also seems to be peace activist because he doesnt seem to support either type of war, by speaking about how he is against propaganda. The tone of this passage is negative because he repeats the fact that he believes this 6 Point Plan will not only end badly but end in a complete disaster. Turse uses examples of past war encounters to illustrate how the United States does a poor job at winning wars and the solution isnt a positive solution.
Audience The speaker is talking to Americans specifically because he is talking from first person point of view and saying our government agencies.. Topic The topic of this passage is the way our country is changing war in general The passage also brings up the points of how our government agencies are morphing together to be one in the same
Speakers Side We can tell from the tone of the passage that the author is not a huge fan of war in general. The speaker of our passage is completely against the six point plan, he repeats his opinion more than once.
What Happens When We Use Full Force War? When we, the US, uses full force war by entering another country and trying to use our entire military to take down someone or help out a country it never turns out as we planned. Think about Afghanistan, when we entered there and tried to fix things it ended in debt to us and destruction to the country.
Inquiry Questions Is bringing our government agencies together a good idea? Would having small ops groups instead of an entire military be a good decision or a bad one, and why? -Think about how many jobs would be taken away y taking away our large military -Also think about how efficient small ops groups would be
