We will begin working on Quarter Two words!

Every student in our class was able to

read all 25 words form quarter one! Thank you so much for all the practice you do at
home it helps a ton at school! Dont forget to also practice spelling the words, too!
Parent teacher conferences: I will be sending home information about when your con-
ference is on Monday. If the time I have scheduled you for does not work, please let
me know ASAP so that we can work something else out!
We will continue guided reading groups during The Daily 5! Students will be meeting
with me each day to read a book that is at his or her individual reading level. Since we
have five groups this year, some students wont meet with me every day. Ill do my best
to meet with each student at least four times a week, but please make sure youre read-
ing at home, as well! Books will be sent home throughout the week for your child to read
to you. Please make sure you have your child read this the night it is sent home and re-
turn it the next day! Thanks!
Our theme next week is pumpkins! Weve got lots of fun activities planned including
reading and writing about pumpkins, describing pumpkins, and learning the life cycle of a
pumpkin.
During our Word Work time, we will begin learning about different digraphs. This week
we will focus on ch.
