Subject: Norms for erection charges and various over-head
charges for preparing cost estimates for turnkey works and departmental
works.
Produced below are the norms for erection charges and various over-head
charges for preparing cost estimates for turnkey works and departmental works
for information and further necessary action at your end:-
1 Cost of material As per the rates circulated by CE(P&D).
Such rates are to be revised on quarterly
basis by the office of CE(P&D).
2 Erection charges 10% on the cost of material
3 Overhead charges
i) Transportation charges 2.5% on the cost of material
ii) Service Tax 1.83% on the cost of material
iii) Contingency charges 3% on the cost of material
iv) T& P charges 1% on the cost of material
v) Insurance & handling
charges
0.67% on the cost of material
vi) Contractor profit &
Supervision etc.
6%
Total overhead charges 15% on the cost of material

All the previous instructions/ Orders stand superseded by this above
instruction.
The above instruction be considered with immediate effect.
