No. 04-02/2012-LI.-In exercise of powers conferred videRule3of Post O ffice LifeInsurance Rules, 2011 andonthe
basis of Actuarial Valuation of theassets and Liabilities of Post O ffice Insurance Fund ason31-3-2011 the Director General
(Posts) is pleased to declare a simple Reversionary Bonus for the year ending 31-3-2011 on the Postal Life Insurance
Policies ontheir becoming claims, due to death or maturity at the following rates:
S. No Type of Insurance Policy Rate of Bonus

Whole Life Assurance (WLA) Rs. 85 per thousand sum assured
E ndowment Assurance (E A) Rs. 60 per thousand sum assured
Money Back Policies (AE A) Rs. 55 per thousand sum assured
Convertible whole LifePolicies Whole Life Bonus will beapplicable but on
conversion, E ndowment Bonus ratewill beappicable.
(v) Terminal Bonus Rs. 20 per sum assured of Rs. 10,000 subj ect to
maximum ofRs. !, 000 for whole lifepolicies and
E ndowment policies with termof20 years and
above.
2. The rate of Bonus for the year 2010-11 will beapplicable fromthe date of receipt of this Notification
bytheCircles andthis will also beapplicable to claimcases received but not settled till thedateof receipt of this
Notification.
3. InterimBouns at the rates mentioned above will also bepayable for all claims arising dueto matruity of
death until future valuation iscompleted.
4. The amount of Bonus involving afractiion of 50pasie or more shall berounded off to the next higher
Rupee and fraction below 50 paise shall be ignored.
5. This issues with the concurrence of Finance Advice (Postal) vide their Dy. No. 1358/4 dated 11-3-
2013.
