2. Article Summary
In the article, Android apps come to Chrome, Steven Vaughn-Nichols discusses how
Chromebooks were not as popular as Windows PCs because many of the applications were not
able to be used unless they were connected to the internet. Applications such as Googledocs and
responding to G-mail messages were available to be done off line but it provided limited
functionality . Now Google is introducing Android apps to run on Chromebooks. Presently
there are four applications available on Chromebooks and adding additional Android apps will it
more competitive with Windows PC.
3. Additional Internet Articles
The two internet search engines I used were google and dogpile. I used googles advanced
search feature. I type in the keywords android apps on chromebooks in the search and then I
narrowed my search to English. I also selected the option to show articles in the last 30 days.
When I used the search engine dogpile, I used the same keyword search as google however it
advanced me to a screen where it directed me to google.com, yahoo and other websites. I did not
particularly care for dogpile because I could not find an advanced search feature like google.com
and it did not narrow down my search. I was not as user friendly as I would have expected and it
was first time using dogpile.

2. It relates to my topic because it discusses how the android apps were BETA tested on
Chromebooks from a project called App Runtime for Chrome. It also talks about how Google
has made portions of App Runtime (BETA) available as open-source software.

3. The authors name is Thomas Claburn. He has been writing about business and technology
since 1996 for different publications.
4. The information is trustworthy because the article is in InformationWeek which is a trusted
online community for business technology. Many of the community members are IT
professionals, CIOs, CTOs, IT VP s and managers. He has references in his article from Google
related to his topic which supports evidence. When I clicked on the links it referred me to the
information he was discussing to show that the information is accurate.
5. I believe the article was written for informational purposes. It was not created to sell or
persuade. It was an article was designed for his audience to see the enhancements to
Chromebooks and how users are not able to test the portions of the BETA site and what to expect
for the new platform. The material is backed by evidence but it still can be objective to the
audience who may have difference perspectives or who can provide more input.
5. Two Scholarly journal articles from the CCBC library databases
The keywords I used in my search were android apps on google chrome books.
I used the business news journal because it is emerging technology and it would have recent
articles pertaining to this subject matter.
6. Compare the internet and journal articles
The difference between the internet and journal articles were the evidence supported by the
journal articles verses the internet articles. The internet a
