Discuss why songs & poetry are
important in teaching language.
There are many activities that can be
done. For example;
i) songs can be adapted to poetry.
ii) poems can be used in many different
ways and the more you use them the
more uses youll find for them.

The other great thing about poems is for
students to have the opportunity to see the
language work creatively and freely.

Songs attract students attention.
Thus, making it easier for them to
understand the lesson.
Students will be more motivaed to
learn as songs & poetry are fun and
can prevent boredom in class.
Easier to memorize because usually
songs are catchy and students can
sing-along.
