two!
1) The ratio of boys to girls in Mr. Es class is
4:5. If there are a total of 27 students, how
many are boys?
2) A store is selling 4 pineapples for $6.40.
What is the unit price of the pineapples?
3) How far will a jet plane travel in 4 hours if it travels at a rate of 35 miles per hour?
Lesson Overview
Last week we covered unit rates and unit
prices.
Unit prices/rates tell us the cost or rate for one
of something.
For example:
12 Miles per hour = 12:1
$4.00 per gallon (gas) = 4:1
The unit price of one banana is $1.25 = 1.25:1
The unit price of one apple is $1.30 = 1.30:1
Today we will learn about a new topic called
percent!

What fraction of the students like Super Mario 3D World?

How can we represent this amount using a decimal?

How are the decimal, fraction and percent all related to one another?
