ARM is a reduced instruction set computer (RISC) architecture used in most mobile phones and billions of other devices. It was developed by Acorn Computers and designs low-power processors and microcontrollers. The latest ARM v7 architecture is a 32-bit system used across many applications from mobile devices to industrial controls and medical systems due to its low power consumption and single clock cycle execution.

Abstract:- ARM stands for Advanced RISC (reduced instruction set computer) machine.ARM started life as part of Acorn makers of the BCC computer, and now designs chip for apple iPad. The ARM using more than 98% of the mobile phones in 2007 and 10 billion processors are shipped in 2008. ARM is the latest technology which replaced by microcontroller and microprocessors. Basically ARM is a 16 bit/ 32 bit Processors or Controllers.ARM can be widely seen nowdays in various versions and across various devices nowadays. Its low power consumption factor makes it ideal to be used in small devices based on batteries or cells .It ranges from various versions depending upon the need of the user.It has various advantages like mostly single clock cycle execution. The latest ARM v7 architecture is based on 32 bit system so its application ranges increase hugely.Last but not least it is applied in various sectors like industrial control, medical . systems, access control etc
