I reflect on the opportunity that has been set before me. An opportunity to serve the residents of St. Clair County and I realize that my position reaches far beyond getting up and going to work each day. It is a job that reaches out, touches and affects many lives on a daily basis. This position is not taken lightly. I see the ramifications of what I do today rippling throughout the future. I see that your position is as valuable as mine, We are at a moment in time that can never be revisited. At the end of each day, what we have contributed is done. There is no adding or taking away. It is done. I am grateful for my role in St. Clair County. I am grateful for you and your role because without you we would have around 8,000 students wandering aimlessly through life with no direction. I am thankful that you chose to lead, teach, drive, and feed a generation.
