In a Grove
Based on the wifes testimony, after regaining her consciousness the robber was gone. She looked at her
husband still tied up to the root of the cedar. Culture speaking, the wife believed that she couldnt live
knowing two men. She was ashamed so she said, since things have come to this pass, I cannot live with you. I
am determined to diebut you must die, too. You saw my shame. I cant leave you alive as you are.
She looked for his sword but only found her small one. And here she said, now give me your life. Ill follow
you right away. and stabbed him. Supporting this event, through the murdered man, as told by a medium, he
heard her wife say, Kill him! I cannot marry you as long as he lives. So she really did want to kill him.
The robber could not have killed the man, like he said. He said that he heard only a groaning sound of a dying
man so that doesnt really mean that the guy is dead and the man did say he still cried after the man left,
untying the rest of my bonds, I listened carefully, and noticed that it was my own crying. We can say that he
was still alive for a few more hours of so, by and by the light gradually grew fainter. He did say that
someone crept up to him, but darkness had already been gathering round Me. and that someone stabbed
him in his breast. His wife did testify that she stabbed the small sword through the lilac-colored kimono into
his breast. Meeting with his wifes testimony, I conclude that the wife killed her own husband, out of shame
and anger towards herself.
