This record is the embodiment of all the powerful emotions that I feel when writing about our connection to the earth - the heartbeat of our people, and the stories of loss and of healing, explains Leela. The way that I've articulated those stories, and then the way that I sang my guts out - really for me, this record realizes all the reasons I play music.
One Reviewer says: Now heres a formidable aboriginal woman pissed off at injustice and telling it like it is; heres a powerful yet sensual voice blending pop, gut-punching rock n roll and traditional Dene songs.
